Stealth Snake is the sly agent of the W Mavericks. He is clever, smart, and devious as a snake. His most notable characteristic is most likely his sarcastic attitude. He rarely talks straight, preferring riddles, blatant lies, or obvious sarcasm. When a hunter claimed to be the one to bring him down, Stealth Snake responded by calling himself a “six legged platypus from outer space.” It is to no surprise that Stealth Snake is also the comedian of the group, but he plays it in a more sinister manner than most. He is also ambidextrous, and can use any or both of his hands at once. Stealth Snake’s main weapon is “Search Snake,” which fires homing missiles in the shape of snakes. Each one acts differently. Some travel on the ground and jump up when the target is directly above, while some travel forward while airborne, and dive down when the target is directly below. The final variant homes directly on the opponent at all times, and has a much shorter duration. Another devious technique is the “Cloak Bomb,” which, after fired, becomes invisible (yet having an extremely small trail of smoke.) These bombs travel perfectly straight, making them easier to dodge if the target knows where they are. Stealth Snake, like his name suggests, also has a cloaking device for himself, which he activates after jumping off screen. He proceeds to shoot Cloak Bombs, which make his current location easier to locate. Like sting chameleon, he is partly visible in this form, but in contrast, he is still vulnerable. His last move allows him to move the floor panels via remote control, making it much harder to slide. Stealth Snake’s weakness is gravity manipulation. Such forces press his light frame to the ground with more force than he can handle. The “Black Hole Bomb” in particular is especially powerful, destroying his jet pack, making his jumps much smaller, and eliminating some of his tactics. If affected by a slashing weapon, Stealth Snake’s arms and legs are cut off, making him use his special move, where he shoots numerous Search Snakes that travel back and forth all over the walls, while he slithers back and forth on the ground at a rapid speed. When the attack is over, all of the Search Snakes blow up, while Stealth Snake himself sprout out a new set of limbs. He also uses this attack on harder difficulties. He took over the Amazon railway in order to improve the W Maverick’s power in the area, while isolating the enemy forces.

This is the first non-mammalian reploid I’ve created thus far, and also the only one in the set. Snake Man is one of the most notable, if not one of strangest early robot masters. This is because while others were related to powers and elements, Snake Man was related to a random animal, and to make things stranger, he didn’t have snake attributes, but rather he was dressed up like he was wearing cheap Halloween costume. Yes, Sheep Man is also guilty of this, and don’t think I am bashing Snake Man. I chose Snake Man because I thought he was still an extremely neat guy, and I thought he would look really awesome as the actual animal. One thing I love about these guys is that I only find out their true identities after everything is completely drawn out and colored. He ended up MUCH better than my original anticipation. After this one is the final reploid of the series. Unfortunately, I have yet to even draw him out, let alone complete it. This might take a while.

Stealth Snake was a very enjoyable one for me. If you did not realize it yet, his head and body have a striking resemblance to Snake Man’s costume. However, there are some big differences, such as his eyes, his jaw, and the simple fact that it is his body. The feet were one of the best parts to draw. The position and appearance of these round feet are completely different from those of normal reploids. After all, snakes don’t have feet, so why should they look standard?

Disclaimer:
Snake Man is property of Capcom and the Mega Man franchise. I hold no ownership of either and respect the rights of both.

Note: His quote refers to the first words he says when encountering X/Zero.

Note: I just remembered to give Search Snake another move that allows him to alter the position of the floor, making it much harder to slide. I also changed him to an A rank reploid after remembering how irritating the Snake Man boss fight was.
